MCA worked closely with United Airlines on the design for their new, 256,000 sf state-of-the-art catering kitchen facility. In addition to design of new Kitchen 151, MCA’s scope included site selection, demolition and deconstruction of existing buildings, and preparation of the site to receive building and civil site development.
Through comprehensive programming and design development phases, MCA examined several alternative building layouts, including 2- and 3-story options. The facility design program includes food processing facilities, storage (including cold storage), offices, and mechanical equipment rooms.
