MCA designed and managed the total renovation of this 40,000 sf building, to be the new home for Washington County’s Public Services offices, including the Dept. of Health and Human Services, Justice Court, Juvenile Detention, and the East Precinct Sheriff’s Office. Interiors of the three-story building were gutted and remodeled sequentially on a fast track basis. Planning and coordination for the overall project began in June and, within 10 months, the tenant space was fully occupied and operational. Midway through the project, the budget was reduced by nearly 40%, requiring nimble value engineering design adjustments.
