MCA designed the renovation and addition to OSU’s rowing facility, sited along the banks of the Willamette River. The boathouse is home to Oregon State men’s and women’s rowing programs, which compete against the best teams in the country. The design provided boat storage, a new locker room facility, a trophy and reception area, laundry facilities, storage areas, restrooms, new exterior porches and covered walkways. Site work was also extensive. The design effort included amenities – a new workout area, coaches’ offices, and a team meeting space – to be constructed in the future, as additional funding is secured. This project was designed to meet LEED Silver and SEED requirements.
